Emma van Klaveren (BA Hons) was trained at City and Guilds Art College, The Courtauld Institute of Art, London and Hampstead School of Decorative Arts. After graduating in 1996, she began painting professionally. Since then, she has built up her reputation in England and abroad as a successful decorative artist.
Emma has painted for a wide variety of clients, including well-known Interior Designers, celebrity clients and multi-national company developments. She made her television debut, painting a large mural for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, in London in 2001. Emma has also appeared on the UK Style makeover series "Room Rivals" as the resident paint expert as well as GMTV and ITV's 60 minute Makeover.
Working closely with the client, Emma will design a bespoke mural or paint effect. The inspiration for this will be based on in-depth discussion with the client, and confirmed with watercolours and sample boards. She can provide the following effects: broken colourwork, marbling, wood graining, antiqueing, stone blocking and oil gilding. Murals are a speciality and a portfolio can be provided on request. |
